Germany:

22-year-old flyweight Alicia Holzken (4-0) won WIBF and GBU Intercontinental titles with an eight-round, unanimous decision over perineal opponent Claudia Ferenczi (19-70-8). Holzken, Netherlands dominated the action from the opening bell displaying aggression and professional level hand speed. Holzken said about her performance, “I really felt like this match because he was going for the titles.” Holzken entered the ring with the assignment to take her time and keep control. This succeeded because she clearly won the fight over eight rounds. “I felt it went well and I dominated eight rounds.”

Bright 17-year-old featherweight prospect Sophie Alisch, 124 ¾, moved to (2-0, 1 KO) with a six-round shutout (60-54 x 3) of Alina Zaitseva, 123.

“Tiny” Tina Rupprecht, 104, Germany, retained the WBC female minimumweight title with a ten-round, split-draw (97-94/92-98/95-95) against former world title challenger Maricela Quintero, 105 ¾, of Mexico. It was the third successful defense of the minimumweight title that Rupprecht won in December 2017. Rupprecht moves to (9-0-1, 3 KOs) with the draw and Quintero sees her record stand at (18-4-2, 3 KOs).

On the undercard, super-bantamweight prospect Tatyana “Black Panther” Zrazhevskaya improves to (8-0, 2 KOs) with an eight-round, unanimous decision over former world featherweight and lightweight champion Irma Balijagic Adler who drops to (16-12, 8 KOs). Maryna “Dark Angel” Malovana, 133 ¼, earned her second stoppage victory in as many fights by knocking out Anuki Tsopurashvili, 130 ¾.

Canada:

“Lethal” Lindsay Garbatt, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, returned to the squared circle after a five-year hiatus and looked good in pounding out an eight-round, majority-decision (77-75/77-75/76-76) over Erika Jeanette Hernandez who battles out of Mexico. Garbatt scaled in at 119 ¼ and Hernandez weighed an even 120. This bout was the main event of a five-bout card in Oshawa.

On the undercard, Kylie Angel Fallis, 129 ½, scored her third victory in as many bouts with a four-round, unanimous decision over Johana Fernandez, 133 ¼, who drops to (2-1-1). Each of the three assigned judges scored the bout 40-36.

Czech Republic:

Fabiana Bytyqi, 101 ½, retained the WBC atomweight title with a ten-round, draw (97-96/93-98/95-95) against the minimumweight champion of Mexico and all-around tough customer Maria Soledad Vargas, 102 ¼. It was the first defense of the atomweight strap for Bytyqi who won the title in September 2018 with a decision over Denise Castle.  With the win, Bytyqi moves to (14-0-1, 5 KOs) and Vargas drops to (12-3-1, 1 KO). After the draw was announced, Bytyqi stated, “I have mixed feelings about it. For me, it’s a draw. I want to work on the mistakes I made now, and retaliation would look good. Mexican women are really hard. Every blow was forceful.”

On the undercard, Linda Dostalkova, 142, made her pro-debut a successful one with a four-round victory over Monika Antonik, 145 ½, who drops to (1-15) with the loss.

Chicago, ILL, USA:

Mary McGee, 140, continued her successful comeback by earning a six-round, unanimous decision (60-54 x3) over Szilvia Szabados, 141 ¾. McGee improves to (25-3, 13 KOs) whereas Szabados drops to (18-15, 9 KOs).
